After waiting out the pandemic the past two years, regional touring festival series Groovin The Moo (GTM) is ready to reconnect with music lovers returning to its Maitland, Canberra and Bendigo locations next month.
The past couple of years have been tiring for everyone, but the time to throw off the shackles with a dose of pure happiness is well and truly needed.Thankfully GTM have served up an impressive first dish back with a line-up featuring a smattering of international talent, a couple of Aussie music OGs and plenty of young, emerging talent you and your best buds can create new, life-long memories too.
Punching their passports for GTM will be New Zealand indie pop siblings Broods, Persian-Kiwi rapper Chaii, British electronic producer Riton, British electronic-R&B duo Snakehips, London-born Australian singer-songwriter Thomas Headon and English rockers Wolf Alice (fresh off winning Group Of The Year at 2022 Brit Awards).
GTM alumni Hilltop Hoods (who played 2006, 2009, 2012, 2015, 2019) and Spiderbait (who played 2006 and 2009) will take their rightful place as living legends on the 2022 GTM bill.
From Hockey Dad, Lime Cordiale, Middle Kids and Mashd N Kutcher to Montaigne, Peking Duk and Polaris, GTM 2022 has plenty of top-shelf Aussie talent to appease festival attendees.
Though GTM has something for everyone, particularly the next-gen of stars who are already making their mark – we're talking Hope D, Jesswar, JK-47, Masked Wolf and Sycco.
"It's been a long time between opening our GTM gates and we can't wait to see you again," Promoter Steve Halpin of Cattleyard says.
"And for those of you heading to your first Moo, we are so excited to welcome you. We've got more to share with you too – stay tuned for our Fresh Produce and community programme additions coming soon."
Tickets go on sale from 8am EDT on 3 March. More information. Those who purchased and kept their 2020 tickets, they remain valid for the 2022 dates.
