Having claimed just about every accolade out there for their 2009 LP, Veckatimest (I'm pretty sure it won a Latin Grammy at some point), Grizzly Bear have seen fit to bless us with another album.
If you're in love with physical objects, you'll have to wait a few days to buy it, but if you're just in it for the music, you can listen to it right now.
Shields is heralded as a step in a more difficult, psychedelic direction than Veckatimest, which - with its sweet, sweet harmonies - was occasionally easy to confuse with a Brian Wilson record (that is not at all a bad thing). Listen to 'Sleeping Ute' and 'Yet Again' below, and stream the entire thing (or just sample the tracks with interesting names) over at NPR.
You can test the literal effectiveness of Shields from September 14.
