One of the stalwarts of Australian rock, it's been 30 years since a young Lismore band broke into the scene calling themselves Grinspoon.
The very first recipient of triple j's Unearthed competition, the Grinners trajectory has seen them amass over half a million records sold, countless Platinum accolades and an enviable live reputation. Plus they've lodged 13 ARIA Award nominations, winning Best Rock Album in 2005 (for 'Thrills, Kills & Sunday Pills').After releasing their first album in 12 years in 2024, 'Whatever, Whatever' (that also received a Best Rock Album 2024 ARIA Awards nom), before undertaking a mammoth 50-date Australian tour – read our review of their Gold Coast concert – Grinspoon will celebrate with the 30th Birthday Bonanza tour.
Set to kick off in Brisbane before landing in Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Newcastle, Canberra and Melbourne between September-December, Grinspoon will be joined by Bad//Dreems (except in Adelaide) as well as fellow '90s rockers Regurgitator (Adelaide and Perth only).
"We are beyond humbled and downright flippin' thrilled to be celebrating our 30th anniversary with you this year (we know, we don't look a day over 29)," states Grinspoon with a cheeky grin.
"Joining in our most wonderful celebrations are Regurgitator (hall of famers) and Badd//Dreems (future hall of famers). This party will be talked about for decades. BE THERE! #yeehaw #dirtythirty."
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 22 May, except Brisbane (9am on 27 May) and Sydney (9am on 21 May).
