American jazz-gospel-soul singer-songwriter, Gregory Porter returns to Australia in 2025.
The two-time Grammy Award winner (Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2014 and 2017), who last toured down under in 2017, will headline concerts with his five-piece band in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth in October. "Australia, I'm so excited to come and see you this fall [spring]!"With seven studio records in his catalogue, Porter's resume includes the hits 'Liquid Spirit', 'Hey Laura', 'L-O-V-E', 'Revival', 'Smile', and 'Holding On'. Later this month Gregory will play four sold-out nights at London's Royal Albert Hall, a hallowed room he has been filling on return visits since 2016.
On his Australian tour, Gregory will be accompanied by players whose Porter roots are so deep they go back to the beginnings of his recording career. They include Chip Crawford (piano, arrangements), Emmanuel Harol (drums) Tivan Pennicott (tenor sax), and Jahmal Nichols (bass).
