Great Southern Nights Adds More Artists Including Alison Wonderland & The Presets To 2025 Programme

L-R top to bottom: Mallrat, Budjerah, The Presets, Alison Wonderland

With an already star-studded line-up revealed last month, Great Southern Nights have again levelled up with a second artist drop loaded with talent.

Set to join the likes of Birds Of Tokyo, Boy & Bear, King Stingray, Lime Cordiale, Meg Washington, Sarah Blasko and Telenova are 27 additional artists including Alison Wonderland, Budjerah, Fanning Dempsey National Park, Mallrat, Shockone, Teenage Joans, The Paper Kites and The Presets.

The programme, which runs from 21 March to 6 April, now features more than 300 shows spread across 17 nights in 120 venues throughout New South Wales. "As the excitement builds, we're proud to unveil the latest line-up for Great Southern Nights, featuring an incredible array of talent," CEO of ARIA Annabelle Herd says.

"From the high-energy vibes of South East Block Party and Alison Wonderland to iconic Australian acts like You Am I, The Screaming Jets and Killing Heidi. . . through Great Southern Nights, ARIA is proud to support artists, venues, and the broader music industry in partnership with the NSW Government.

"Our shared goal is one where music venues across NSW are pumping and Aussie artists are having a blast performing to crowds of excited fans, new and old."

Completing the list of new additions are Caravan Sun, Djanaba, Holly Hebe, Killing Heidi, Lyric, Marcia Hines, Miss Kaninna, Mo'Ju, Noiseworks, Offbeat Collective Showcase, Satin Cali, Sesame Girl, Slowly Slowly, Sons Of The East, South East Block Party, The Grogans, The Screaming Jets, Thirsty Merc and You Am I.

"I am so excited to be partnering with Great Southern Nights for a headline show in Sydney! Such an important event, and I am very appreciative of all the great work they do for Australian music," Mallrat says. Adds Alison Wonderland: "SYDNEY. . . I'm coming home 🇦🇺!!! This is gonna be insane I know it."

While Budjerah is equally excited: "So happy to be a part of Great Southern Nights again this year 🕺 GSN have supported me since the beginning of my music career and I'm so excited to be given this opportunity once again. The Factory Theatre was one of my favourite shows from my headline tour in 2024, I can't wait to get back and see my fans and friends very soon. It's gonna be a special one!"

With the likes of Missy Higgins, Boo Seeka, and Bec Sandridge concerts sold out, and other shows selling fast including New Zealand's The Beths as well as Lime Cordiale, Boy & Bear and SAFIA, music lovers are urged to act quick to avoid disappointment.

"This Great Southern Nights line-up keeps on getting better and better. This is part of the government's push to bring back live music across NSW," Minister for the Arts, Minister for Music and the Night-time Economy, and Minister for Jobs and Tourism John Graham says.

"Music fans, venues and artists have been doing it tough during the cost-of-living crisis. Great Southern Nights is about firing up the live music scene – getting bands back onstage, filling up venues and bringing communities together for great nights out."

The live music celebration will deliver more than 300 live gigs to areas including Sydney, Western Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong and Central Coast region, along with Bathurst, Broken Hill, Byron Bay, Hunter Valley, Orange, Tamworth and Tilba.

"We're pumped to be heading back to Broken Hill for a special show as part of Great Southern Nights. The last time we played there was in 1992, so it's been a long time between Broken Hill beers," shares The Screaming Jets.

Tickets to all shows are on sale.
