Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

The 2024 Great Southern Nights programme has assembled a delectable smorgasbord of some of Australia's finest musical talent who'll perform 300-plus live concerts throughout New South Wales.

To be staged 8-24 March across seven regions, from Sydney's inner city, Western Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle, Wagga Wagga, Tamworth and Northern Rivers, Great Southern Nights boasts festivals favourites like Ball Park Music, Budjerah, Cub Sport, Dan Sultan, Dune Rats, King Stingray, Northlane, RedHook, The Vanns, and Xavier Rudd.

"We're extremely excited to be involved again with the Great Southern Nights programme," Ball Park Music says. "This time we'll be heading to Northern NSW to play our first ever show in Brunswick Heads.

"A few of us grew up in this area, so it feels really special to come back and play. We'll have our good friends Bean Magazine in tow too. It's gonna be a ripper of a gig."

If you're after hip hop beats, 360, Bliss N Eso, Drapht, Hermitude, and Illy will be joined by emerging rappers like Barkaa, Jesswar, JK-47, and L-Fresh The Lion.

Set to keep dance floors alight will be the likes of Anna Lunoe, Godlands, Gold Fang, Havana Brown, Jawbreakers, Sneaky Sound System, The Presets, Tigerlily, Vallis Alps, and YNG Martyr.

"Wagga Wagga, get ready as we're packing up the car in March and bringing the tunes to start the party for Great Southern Nights!" shares Sneaky Sound System.

If you're wanting to bask in golden melodies and emotive lyrics, allow acclaimed singer-songwriters Alex Lahey, Fanny Lumsden, Gordi, Gretta Ray, Jessica Mauboy, Kasey Chambers, Kate Ceberano, Kate Miller-Heidke, Ruby Fields, and Sarah Blasko to transport you to the magic realm of live music.

Old-school rockers add to Great Southern Nights' diversity with Hoodoo Gurus, James Blundell, James Reyne, Jimmy Barnes, Jon Stevens, Peter Garrett & The Alter Egos, The Church, The Cruel Sea, Yothu Yindi and You Am I all scheduled to perform.

Then there are the emerging artists like A.Girl, Becca Hatch, Big Skeez, Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers, and The Buoys showcasing a bright future for Australian music.

"ARIA is proud to be presenting Great Southern Nights again in 2024 with a super exciting and diverse line-up of amazing Aussie artists across so many genres," CEO of ARIA Annabelle Herd says.

"Great Southern Nights empowers local artists to create future nostalgia moments in regions and music communities across New South Wales by reaching new audiences and bringing people together through a shared love of brilliant live music moments."
