From the same crew behind bush event Strawberry Fields, arrives a new music festival simply called Good Times offering punters with 'big festival fatigue' an alternative to packed crowds and clashing timetables.
Good Times will be staged at the same riverfront venue that hosts Strawberry Fields in Tocumwal, NSW. To keep it niche, the festival capacity will be limited to 1,000 lucky souls. The one-day extravaganza (25 March) is equal parts music, wellness and top-shelf dining, all set on the magical banks of the winding Murray River.
The inaugural line-up has been teased with the addition of punk-blues band Cash Savage & The Last Drinks, the old-timey jungle blues of C.W. Stoneking & His Primitive Horn Orchestra, and emerging indie pop-rock band Floodlights (who recently shined at Falls Festival).
Wild Pie – a new collaboration between chefs Jo Barrett and Louise Daily (Little Picket), Mark La Brooy (Three Blue Ducks) and wild game providore Discovered Wildfoods – will appease even the hardest to please foodie.
Pip's Plate will host a six course wood-fired feast for the ultimate long lunch, while you can wash it all down with a fine selection of adult beverages from Mike Bennie of P&V Merchants.
"While good music is fundamental to the experience, we're placing just as much focus on slow-fun, food and relaxation," shares the festival directors.
"We want you to leave feeling better than when you arrived. Often the most treasured memories we leave festivals with are from the more intimate, in between moments, and that's the space we want to invest in."
Expect the complete line-up to drop in late January.
Early bird tickets are on sale.
