After selling out the previous two years (14,000 fans each year), reggae-soul event Good Love Festival returns to its beachside home on the Gold Coast February 2023.
New Zealand's soul-electronica act Six60 headline the first round of artist additions, the band just dropping new single 'Before You Leave' that's lifted from their upcoming album 'Castle St' (due 7 October).Six60 made headlines last year when they performed to 50,000 fans in NZ, which at the time was biggest live show to take place anywhere in the post-pandemic world.
Another international guest headed to Good Love is reggae royalty in the form of Julian Marley & The Uprising, who recently released the new single 'The Tide Is High' as well as appearing on 'Feeling High' with Big Narstie, 'Say' with Moshe Reuven and 'People Of The Country' with Charly Black.
"Greetings Gold Coast! I am excited to announce myself and The Uprising will be joining the 2023 Good Love line-up alongside Six60, Coterie, DMP and Bradoman with more yet to be announced! See you next February," enthuses Julian Marley.
Perth soul-rock brothers Coterie will also grace the Good Vibes stage as will Pacific Islands award-winning reggae band DMP and Gold Coast's newest roots-reggae group, the nine-piece Bradamon who'll release their debut EP 'Volume 1' next month.
"Your West Coast boys got a HUUUUGE summer coming in! Playing shows with our bros Six60 at Good Love Festival. What a time, we love ya!" Coterie says.
Adds Bradamon: "We're super excited to announce we will be joining the 2023 Good Love line-up."
Set in a picturesque beachfront location with great food and unbeatable vibes on offer alongside a communal festival experience, serious fans of reggae looking for a full day packed with live music can rest easy knowing that the line-up doesn't end there. More acts are scheduled to be announced in the coming months.
