After touring Australia earlier this year with Matchbox 20, American alt-rock swooners Goo Goo Dolls return in 2025.
Their first headlining tour down under in 20 years, the 'Iris', 'Slide' and 'Name' hitmakers will perform concerts in Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne next February-March alongside their already announced appearance at Yours & Owls festival in Wollongong.The Buffalo, New York, band who have received four Grammy nominations, have experienced a recent resurgence after their global smash 'Iris' (originally written for the Nic Cage, Meg Ryan 1998 film 'City Of Angels') went TikTok viral, pushing the song back into the Billboard charts.
Formed by John Rzeznik and Robby Takac in 1986, Goo Goo Dolls have contributed a string of staples to the American songbook, connected to millions of fans, and indelibly impacted popular music for over three decades.
"Having witnessed the incredible show that Goo Goo Dolls deliver onstage when they toured with Matchbox 20, I couldn't book them to return to our shores soon enough," Christo Van Egmond, Managing Director of TEG Van Egmond, says.

Goo Goo Dolls will be joined by local rock stalwarts Thirsty Marc ('In The Summertime','20 Good Reasons', 'Tommy And Krista').
