Gold Coast Music Awards 2024 Finalists

The Gold Coast Music Awards (GCMAs) 2024 finalists are here, with winners set to be crowned at a star-studded red carpet gala event this August, at HOTA (Home Of The Arts) Gold Coast.

The event is back for its tenth year. The depth of the GCMAs finalists showcases incredible talent and success of those who are part of the South East Queensland music industry.

There are ten diverse categories, including Artist Of The Year, Breakout Artist Of The Year, Live Act Of The Year, Studio Producer Of The Year, and more. Those eligible and selected have released, performed, or demonstrated activity in their respective categories between 1 April 2023 and 31 March 2024.



Each nomination was judged by a panel of experts from diverse fields, including promoters, producers, songwriters, musicians, venue managers, booking agents, Triple M’s National Music Director and a record company executive.

“For 10 years we’ve been shining a light on the depth and diversity of talent here and it only gets harder,” GCMAs Co-Founder and Judging Panel Chair Samantha Morris says. “The quality of nominations coming out of the Gold Coast this year, was incredible.”

“This pool of finalists really encapsulates the best of the best in a city full of rising stars and exceptional talent.”



“Every artist acknowledged as a finalist today could easily win their category,” GCMAs Co-Founder Chloe Papa adds. “That’s the standard we’re dealing with. For a regional city, we’ve always punched above our weight and it’s certainly no different when it comes to local, original music.”

“If people aren’t already paying attention to what’s happening in this city when it comes to music, they will be after this year’s awards.”
