Goat Girl Release New Single The Charming Indie Psych-Out 'Badibaba'

Goat Girl
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

If fuzzy, twee guitars and psych-distorted dreamy vocals are your jam, Goat Girl's newest single deserves the full attention of your ears. Stat.

'Badibaba' is a reverb-soaked, kaleidoscope sonic adventure that whips itself into a frenzy before trailing off into a maelstrom of fuzzy instrumentation, garbled words and warped sound effects.

"'Badibaba' is a song about environmental catastrophe and the pessimism and self-destruction that this causes to the human spirit," guitarist/ vocalist L.E.D. says.

While singer Lottie Cream adds: "It touches on how the earth's existence is controlled by exploitative systems, and the feeling of existential helplessness this induces."

Goat Girl will release their new album, 'On All Fours', which was produced by Dan Carey (Kae Tempest, black midi, Franz Ferdinand) on 29 January. Pre-order it.
