American hyperpop artist glaive has added dates to his Australian visit.
Already slated to play Beyond The Valley, 'The Prom' hitmaker has added headline concerts in Melbourne and Sydney the first week of January.
Born in Hendersonville, North Carolina, glaive has rapidly become one of the defining voices of his generation after crafting a viral following on Soundcloud.
After his early projects (including cypress grove, all dogs go to heaven and then i'll be happy) established him as a boundary-pushing artist, glaive has released three studio albums and toured with The Kid LAROI on The First Time tour last year.
Released last month and featuring the singles 'Asheville' and 'Appalachia', 'Y'All' is a 16-track album featuring collaborations with producers John Cunningham (XXXTENTACION, Kanye West), Ralph Castelli (Dora Jar, The Neighbourhood) and Jeff Hazin (Kali Uchis, renforshort).
"Y'all!!!!! Out!!! Wow!!!! Sixteen songs me and the guys made over the course of a year. I hope you enjoy," posted glaive.
"These songs mean a lot to me and are all very deeply personal, even the less emotional ones, and not to sound cocky but obviously this is my best work and I'm super proud of how everything turned out.
"I'm happy I moved home, I'm happy I get to make art and I'm happy to share it, I'm happy with everything. Life used to be so difficult and at times it still is, but those times grow farther and farther apart so I cannot be anything but grateful.
"Thank you to John, Jeff, Ralph and Jasper for working on these songs with me and specifically Jeff for showing us how to play Durak. . . and thank you to my momma for giving birth to me and thank y'all so much for everything.
"Enjoy the music and if you want to read more of my thoughts I wrote an entire Google doc explaining a bit more on each song individually and some extra words (also all the lyrics to listen along with) – yall.ong – A million blessings!"
Tickets on sale from 10am AEDT on 10 October.
