Gladys Knight tours Australia March 2024.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

The Empress of Soul, Gladys Knight returns to Australia in 2024 as part of her global Farewell Tour.

The seven-time Grammy Award winner, best known for such hits as 'Licence To Kill', 'Midnight Train To Georgia', 'I Don't Want To Know', 'Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me' and 'That's What Friends Are For', will headline concerts in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Canberra, and Sydney next March.

"I'm so grateful to be visiting these beautiful places again and be able to share my music with the fans who are so hospitable and embrace us with open arms," shares Gladys.

"The spirit and soul brought to our performances by these amazing audiences is unmatched the world over."

A career spanning all the way back to the 1950s, Gladys first came to prominence as Gladys Knight & The Pips, a family band formed in her childhood who would record such bangers as 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine' (before Marvin Gaye's version) and 'The Nitty Gritty' while signed to Motown Revords.

Across a nearly 40-year span the success of the group continued with an array of chart-topping hits across the '60s, '70s and '80s including 'Every Beat Of My Heart', 'Letter Full Of Tears' and 'If I Were Your Woman'.

Knight went on to record more than 38 albums over the years, including 4 solo albums: 'Good Woman' (1991), 'Just For You' (1994), 'Many Different Roads' (1999), and 'At Last' (2001).

'At Last' showed the world she still has what it takes to record a hit album, employing the talents of contemporary producers like Randy Jackson, Gary Brown and James D.C. Williams III, Jon John, Jamey Jaz, Keith Thomas, Tom Dowd and Tiger Roberts.

Tickets on sale from 11am (local time) on 19 December.
