Los Angeles psych rockers Frankie And The Witch Fingers will make their live debut appearance down under when they travel to Australia later this year.
The quartet – who are well-known to Aussie psych lords Psychedelic Porn Crumpets who they've toured extensively with throughout the US – will headline shows in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne (x2), Sydney and Perth November 2022. Anchored by songwriters Dylan Sizemore and Josh Menashe, the band's current rhythm section features bassist Nikki Pickle (Death Valley Girls) and drummer Nick Aguilar (Mike Watt).
"We've been dying to play Australia for a while now and it feels like a dream that it's finally happening," Sizemore says.
"Aussies are the best, we toured with Stonefield and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets in the States and they both absolutely rip and are the best people.
"I know there's a lot of magic happening down there, and I feel very grateful to be able to finally experience what's been emanating across the world."
Recently playing Primavera Sound in Barcelona alongside King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard and Tropical F... Storm, Frankie And The Witch Fingers most recent release is the 2021 dual single 'Cookn' B/W Tracksuit' that followed their 2020 album 'Monsters Eating People Eating Monsters'.
Bassist Nikki Pickle adds: "I can't wait for our first tour in Australia!
"The music scene there is so legendary, I keep trying to imagine what it'll feel like to experience it firsthand, but I'm not sure anything could truly prepare us – I just know it'll be rowdy as hell!"
