Headed to Australia to play Bluesfest as well as joining the Counting Crows tour, English folk-punk singer-songwriter Frank Turner will also perform a trio of headline regional shows while he's down under.
The first time Frank has headed to Oz in four years, the 'Recovery' and 'I Still Believe' artist will visit Darwin, Hobart and Newcastle."YES AUSTRALIA. Managing to squeeze in a handful of solo shows this spring around my dates with Counting Crows. Darwin, Hobart, Newcastle: I'M COMING FOR YOU!"
Fans and music lovers alike can expect a magnetic show from Turner delivering his yearningly honest and heartfelt punk-tinged catalogue.
Originally meant to tour in 2020 until the world shutdown, Turner has released two more albums since he last visited Australia; 2019's 'No Man's Land' – a concept album about various women throughout history – along with last year's 'FTHC'.
The latter album saw Turner confront themes like the death of his friend – Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison – on 'A Wave Across A Bay’, examine his new relationship with his trans parent on 'Miranda', and collaborate with Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil on 'The Resurrectionists'.
