US R&B superstar Frank Ocean has cancelled his remaining Australian tour dates, including tonight's show at Melbourne's Festival Hall, two shows next week at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion, and his headlining appearance at Splendour In The Grass.
Promoter Live Nation confirmed the cancellation, which is reportedly the result of a torn vocal chord, via Twitter this afternoon. During his first (and now only) Melbourne show last night, Ocean repeatedly apologised for having a cold.
Considering the notoriously poor phone reception at Splendour In The Grass, it's likely that most festival goers are happily going about their lives, tragically unaware of the bad news that awaits them. Sorry, guys.
