For one week only from Monday (15 June), Queensland musicians and music industry workers can apply to access $3,000 individual grants via the Queensland Government's stART grant programme.
The stART grants are an investment into the creative and arts industries in Queensland, and will allow local artists to continue their artistic practices as the country emerges from the enforced shutdowns. This financial support to foster and stimulate creative development and business activities focussed on future opportunities during the COVID recovery phase, will allow a quick and valuable boost to the music industry across Queensland according to QMusic CEO Angela Samut.
QMusic have been selected by Arts Queensland as a delivery partner of music industry applications for the stART music grants.
"We thank the Queensland Government for their support and investing in the music community with the stART grant programme," Ms Samut says.
"This money will support creative practice and business coming out of the devastation of the COVID-19 crisis."
Applications received by QMusic will be assessed by a panel of music industry peer assessors.
A total of $500,000 will be distributed across Queensland as part of the Queensland Government stART programme to support Queensland's independent creative practitioners, including artists, producers, designers, technicians and other arts workers.
