Stadium rock icons and 15-time GRAMMY winners Foo Fighters will bring their live show down under for one night only this summer, playing Launceston’s UTAS Stadium.
This show marks the band’s first in Tasmania since 2015. . . And their first ever in Launceston. The band, who are famously lovers of our shores, were last here in 2023 when they played to sold-out stadiums in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Reviewing their 2023 show at Perth’s HBF Park, we wrote ‘Foo Fighters prove to us time and time again they're still at the top of the rock & roll food chain, and having three hours of cranking FFs and a whole lot of rock & roll Grohl, this has been one hell of a night of live music bliss’.
Foo Fighters have sold more than 1.8 million records in Australia, with nine of their albums reaching #1 here. . . The most in any territory. Their iconic hits have soundtracked the lives of fans the world over, including ‘The Pretender’, ‘Breakout’, ‘This Is a Call’, ‘My Hero’, ‘All My Life’, ‘Everlong’, ‘The Sky Is A Neighborhood’, ‘Learn To Fly’, ‘Best Of You’, ‘Monkey Wrench’, ‘Times Like These’, ‘Walk’ and more.
The Launceston show marks the band’s 14th visit to Australia. They’ve got a history of delivering jaw-dropping surprise performances – for example, in 2022, Foo Fighters reignited the nation with a blistering, history-making performance in Geelong, VIC. . . And now it’s Launceston’s turn.
Supporting Foo Fighters in Launceston will be Aussie bands Full Flower Moon Band and Spooky Eyes.
Foo Fighters play UTAS Stadium (Launceston) 24 January, 2026.
