Young, sassy, hip and groovy Miss Bec Whitehead will lay down a cookin’ show of popular jazz standards that features catchy melodies from Ella Fitzgerald through to Lady Ga Ga at the Brisbane Jazz Club this Friday.

But before she does, she lists five tips for day-to-day living.

1. Be who you are… you can’t be any better then that.

2. Reflect and aim for your own success and support the ones you love around you
. Say your favourite quote out loud five times a day. In 1951 Frank Sinatra was ready to give up. At the end of his career, Sinatra had created 67 #1 hits. There is always hope.

3. Take a moment to learn about something new… And don’t just do one thing, multi-task. You will become automatic in activities without even thinking. Saves you time, so you have room for other activities throughout your day. Time is the most valuable treasure we hold within our lives.

4. Eight hours of sleep a day please. Wherever you want. Just get the hours up.

5. MWHAHA’s... Times three a day. It just feels amazing. Highly recommended!
