First Round Of ARIA Awards Performers Announced

Gang Of Youths perform as part of this year's ARIA Awards

The ARIA Awards have revealed the first round of Australian performers hitting the stage at the show later this month.


The five acts have been nominated in two or more categories each.

Gang Of Youths
Gang Of Youths are nominated in eight categories, topping the ARIA leaderboard and acknowledging their #1 ARIA album 'Go Farther In Lightness'.

A.B. Original
Australian hip hop pair A.B. Original are nominated for six awards. Made up of Briggs and Trials, they're known for bringing attention musically to issues close to home.

Jessica Mauboy
Jessica Mauboy became the first Indigenous woman to debut and achieve three consecutive weeks at #1 with her latest release. It's also become her first individual #1 album on the chart. She's nominated in six categories.

Peking Duk
Nominated in four categories at this year's awards, the group have received numerous multi-platinum hits since 'High' featuring Nicole Millar in 2014. Three of their nominations are nods to their 3x platinum single 'Stranger' featuring Elliphant.

Pnau
Pnau have grabbed two nominations for their single 'Chameleon', the trio's first single in four years. The track reached triple platinum status and is from their forthcoming album 'Changa', releasing on 10 November.

More acts will be announced as the event approaches.

The 2017 ARIA Awards take place at The Star Sydney on 28 November.
