'Passionate about true crime docos, the Swannies, golf and sleep, I’ve been writing about music for 20-plus years. What I’ve learnt? There’s two types of music – good and bad.’

Melbourne-London band Shiva And The Hazards are back with their newest single, 'Angkor Wat'.

With swirling moments lingering between Verve and The Stone Roses, Shiva And The Hazards have produced a ripping track of Madchester and '90s Britpop soaked in psychedelic grooves. Repeat listens are forecast.

"We recorded 'Angkor Wat' last year with Matt Redlich [Holy Holy, Husky] in a tiny studio in Abbotsford [Melbourne], and we've had the track up our sleeve for a while before that, so it's been hard sitting on the track for so long," the band says.

"It's such a relief to finally get it out there into the universe." Freshly dropped today, be one of the first to hear 'Angkor Wat' which was mastered by Brian Lucey (Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys).

Shiva And The Hazards will be supporting Ride this August and September, as well as Cast at their east-coast dates on their October Australian tour.
