Finley Quaye has been booted off stage — by his own promoter.
The British musician, who failed to appear for his soundcheck, disrepects his audience for half an hour before promoter Matt Roberts calls an end to the embarrassment.
Much of the crowd had lost interest by this time, but Roberts made it official by walking on stage and telling Quaye to leave.
With the stage cleared, Roberts took the mic and addressed the crowd. "I've worked in this industry 28 years ... I'm sorry. For an artist who doesn't turn up to soundcheck, then turns up at nine o'clock... and these guys come FUCK my stage ... you guys go home [referring to Quaye]."
He continued, to applause from the crowd, "I suffer from alcoholism... I have issues, but I am a professional. I will not pollute my venue with this bullshit."
Tickets were promised to be refunded and audience members were invited to meet in the bar. The ejection happens at 3:05 in this video.
