Australia's summer festival season is heating up with EDM and hip hop lovers to witness the return of Festival X with events planned across the country this November-December.
Electronic legend Calvin Harris will headline Festival X in 2022 with the 'One Kiss' and 'This Is What You Came For' artist to be joined by megastar hip hop rapper and social media starlet Megan Thee Stallion (who has dropped a slew of singles recently including 'Plan B' and 'Sweetest Pie feat. Dua Lipa').This will be Megan's very first performances down under as it will be for trap-R&B US artist Don Toliver who has released a number of singles via Travis Scott's Cactus Jack Records.
Trance icons Cosmic Gate and KEY4050 (the duo of John O'Callaghan and Bryan Kearney) also return down under.
After originally being staged in 2019, the Festival X party returns to Melbourne and Sydney but this year will move from Brisbane to Gold Coast as well as adding dates in Perth and Adelaide.
Other artist additions to the line-up include Dutch-born Australian trance DJ MaRLo, tech-house trailblazer Green Velvet, the 4/4 techno of Nina Kraviz, and electro-rave mainstays Boys Noize – not forgetting progressive superstar Nora En Pure as well as UK sensations Solardo and Prospa.
Then there's groove connoisseurs John Summit and Franky Rizardo as well as French bass/ house from Tchami, Sub Focus' sublime bass sounds and UK hit machine Wilkinson.
Australian duo Choomba will also give it a nudge as will other Aussie artists Anna Lunoe, Luude, Laura King, Tyson Obrien, Taglo and Sunset Bros.
Bringing the rap vibes will be new kid on the block Babyface Mal and festival favourite Badrapper.
