Festival Of Small Halls 2024 Summer Tour

Alana Wilkinson and Ryan Young join Festival Of Small Halls 2024 Summer Tour.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Festival Of Small Halls will once again pack the van full of bunting, instruments, and folk spirit as they embark on their 37th regional venture this summer.

Presented by Woodfordia Inc, the Woodford Folk Festival to Illawarra Folk Festival run, comprising 18 locations, will feature the talents of Scottish artist Ryan Young and Australian musician Alana Wilkinson, who'll commence with an extended season at Woodford Folk Festival.

Throughout January they'll meander their way south and inland, crossing the Great Dividing Range before heading back east and up the coast, stopping at Illawarra Folk Festival along the way.

"Well friends, with the business of summer creeping towards us, we've been plotting along planning our beautiful Summer Tour 2024 – and now we get to share it with you all.

"We hope that these shows can be a wonderful opportunity to come together for an evening of shared folk spirit, rich connections and good cups of tea."

Focused on traditional Scottish music, Ryan Young brings new life to very old, often forgotten tunes by playing them in his own unique way. Young is a nominee for the MG ALBA 2023 Musician Of The Year award.

Described by Fanny Lumsden as "a national treasure", Alana Wilkinson is an award-winning songwriter who has graced stages at major folk festivals including Woodford, Queenscliff, Blue Mountains, Nannup, and Port Fairy.

Tickets are on sale.
