Good Things season is upon us – and after a huge 2022 it’s time to level up again. Good Things Festival returns this December with a bumper line-up.
The line-up brings with it a horde of new and iconic favourites from Australia and from around the globe, together for a good time.
Leading the pack is none other than American rock idols Fall Out Boy. From dominating the MySpace era to becoming one of rock’s biggest-selling bands, Fall Out Boy have proven that their sweltering legacy is, in fact, not a phase. The band’s 2023 album ‘So Much (For) Stardust’ marked their seventh consecutive top-ten-charting album.
Whether you’re a ‘Dad Vibes’ stan, or you’ve been rolling since day one. . . Good Things brings in Florida heavies Limp Bizkit to keep the party rocking. They’ve garnered three GRAMMY Award nominations alongside their timeless angst and genre-straddling prowess. Then, from breaking stuff to whipping it, American new wave legends Devo will take to the stage for their last-ever Australian appearances, as part of ‘The Farewell Tour’ celebrating 50 years.
I Prevail are locked in to return down under too – continuing their meteoric rise, one which has spanned their decade-long career. I Prevail are hailed as one of rock’s biggest breakthrough bands, and their might only intensified with the release of their 2022 album ‘True Power’. Speaking of might, Welsh metal outfit Bullet For My Valentine will bring their explosive and infectious blend of heavy metal, metal core and beyond to Good Things. Plus, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor gears up to keep the party firing on all cylinders.
The Golden State’s Pennywise will flex their fiery flair, as they head our way yet again after a monstrous headline run in 2022. The ARIA Award-winning stylings of trash pop mainstays Spiderbait hit Good Things too.
Speaking of Aussies, beloved indie rockers Slowly Slowly are sure to delight this December with their anthem melodics and colourful pop – not to mention they’ll be armed with their buoyant 2022 album ‘Daisy Chain’. British electronic rockers Enter Shikari will pack their dynamic wares to wow the crowds.
Behemoth’s relentless fury is set to blow the festivities into a whole new stratosphere, when the group make their eagerly anticipated return down under, as will influential groove merchants Sepultura.
The good vibes will keep rolling as prolific indie rockers Taking Back Sunday hit our shores, alongside the electro pop stylings of the chameleonic PVRIS. ARIA Award-winning rockers Eskimo Joe, and Jebediah join in the fun, and continuing the Aussie flavour are the likes of Frenzy Rhomb, Short Stack, Boom Crash Opera, Luca Brasi, Make Them Suffer, Bloom, and Tapestry.
Metalcore lovers don’t despair – clear your schedules and get pumped for the J-pop-soaked riffs and breakdowns from Japan’s Hanabie, as well as Ohio quartet The Plot In You, British melodic heavy-hitters While She Sleeps, and Australia’s own Ocean Sleeper. Russian deathcore titans Slaughter To Prevail are ready, willing and gleefully able to lure you into the mosh.
That’s not it though – Florida rockers Magnolia Park and solo sensation Royal & The Serpent will both play Good Things, with Sydney pop punks Stand Atlantic also locked in to stupefy with a heap of new tunes in tow.
Tickets are on sale 24 August at 10am.
