Of course, it wouldn't be WAMFest without the iconic WAMFest Live, which presents the best in WA music from emerging and established artists alike.
The Friday programme will be hosted in the City of Perth, with 10+ stages spread around the Murray Street strip, allowing easier access for music lovers and industry alike to 'float between each of the thoughtfully-curated showcases and explore all of the incredible live music on show'.
Amplifier Capitol will feature four stages providing the alternative, grunge, punk and indie-rock from must-see acts such as Bolt Gun, FOAM, Skullcave, Spacey Jane and Sly Withers, alongside soul-soothing sets from buzzworthy soloists like Helen Shanahan and Tanaya Harper.
A mix of indie-folk and raucous rock will be on offer at The Sewing Room provided by The Wilds, Ryan Beno, Noah Dillon and The Tommyhawks. Or soak up neo soul vibes from acts such as Ruby May and Georgia Reed at The Laneway Lounge.
On the Sunday, the Town Of Bassendean presents WAMFest Live In The Park at BIC Reserve, with performances from Spanish fused guitar collective Duende Indalo, punchy garage rock outfit JFK and and contemporary singer-songwriter Sydnee Carter. You’ll be bopping from top to tail all afternoon and into the evening. And if all that dancing works up an appetite, there will be plenty on offer from Old Perth Road Market Stalls.
Then after the live music stops, we’ve got two indie music films screening to help you wind down on your Sunday night: 'The Night Of The Triffids' (Live at Paddington Town Hall 1984) and the 'Hyperfest Team Documentary 2017'. Entry is free.
With over 200 acts playing as part of WAMFest Live, check out the full list with set times and venues here: https://www.wamfest.com.au/program/
