For the very first time, American independent country artist Evan Honer will tour Australia.
Best known for his cover of Tyler Childers' 'Jersey Giant' (140M Spotify streams), the Californian singer-songwriter will headline intimate shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney in November. "I'M COMING TO AUSTRALIA!! Can't wait to see you guys there!!"2025 has been a busy year for Evan, who toured America throughout February to May; with a UK-European tour planned for August including dates in London, Manchester and Berlin.
A former collegiate diver, Honer first began writing music during the pandemic, quickly building a catalogue of songs that convinced him to audition for 'American Idol' in 2022 – where he was told by judge Luke Bryan to "stick to diving".
Fortunately for us, Honer ignored the advice continuing his musical journey with a mix of acoustic folk, indie Americana, and alternative pop emotive bangers.
On graduation day, Honer released his debut album 'West On I-10' featuring 'Fooling' Ourselves', 'Too Far Gone' and 'You'd Never Know'. It led to months of sold-out headline shows across America and Europe.
For his sophomore album 'Fighting For', Honer decided to keep things simple. Turning down seven-figure offers from virtually every major label and Grammy Award-winning producers, 'Fighting For' was recorded by close friends in small studios, churches, AirBnB's, and living rooms.
Evan released it on his own independent label Cloverdale Records; the album features his collaboration with Wyatt Flores 'Take Me As I Come' as well 'Nowhere Fast'.
With 500 million streams and counting, and carving a new path in the music industry as a 100 per cent independent artist, this is still just the beginning of Evan's journey. Join the ride when he tours in November.
Tickets on sale from 11am (local time) on 24 June.
