EMF Australia 2025 Tour

EMF
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Oh that's unbelievable. . . English alternative dance rockers EMF return to Australia this winter, their first live dates down under in 34 years.

"EMF are really looking forward to being back in Australia in July/ August – it's been way too long," the band posted to their socials. Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane all rank in the band's Top 5 monthly Spotify listeners.

Best known for their chart-topping smash and debut single, 1990's 'Unbelievable', which featured on their debut album, 'Schubert Dip' (that also features the songs 'Children' and 'I Believe'), EMF (Epsom Mad Funkers – a name taken from a New Order fan club) have remained sporadically active across the last 30-odd years.

Also known for their 1995 cover of The Monkees' 'I'm A Believer', the Australian tour will visit Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Although they've had three different hiatuses and dealt with the tragic death of original bassist Zac Foley (from a drug overdose) in 2002, which shocked the band into silence until they were able to regroup in 2007, the band have steadily continued to play festivals and live shows in the years since.

In the last three years, EMF have returned with two new albums: 2022's 'Go Go Sapiens', followed by their fifth, 'The Beauty And The Chaos' in 2024. This tour promises a dynamic blend of classic tracks and fresh material, ensuring a nostalgic yet totally unforgettable experience for fans old and new.

Tickets are on sale.
