Emeli Sandé's New Album Is An Ode To Resilience Rebirth & Renewal

R&B, soul singer-songwriter, Emeli Sandé will release her new studio album (her first independent release) 'Let's Say For Instance' in May.

Already previewing the new project with the vibrant sing-along single 'Brighter Days' (as well as previous singles 'Look What You've Done' and 'Family'), the four-time Brit Awards winner says 'Let's Say For Instance' is "an ode to resilience, rebirth, and renewal".

"I'm so proud of this album and can't wait to release it," the 'Beneath Your Beautiful', 'Next To Me' and 'Hurts' artist says.

"I've felt free to express myself more naturally both lyrically and musically in this album and my wish is that it will be an uplifting experience for each listener, and that they will get to know me on a much deeper level."

'Let's Say For Instance' finds Emeli exploring new sonic territory through shades of classical, disco and nostalgic R&B.



"'Brighter Days' is inspired by the truth that even in the darkest moments, there is always hope," adds Sandé.

"We might have to dig deeper to feel it, but hope is always there. Staying anchored in hope and faith is our victory and defeat only comes when we lose sight of this power.

"'Brighter Days' is an affirmation – it's a reminder of our collective power to make a choice and create our reality.

"The power of the collective mind is remarkable, and I believe that no matter the external circumstances forced upon us, we have dominion over the mind and spirit.

"Brighter days are coming. Stepping out of the darkness is within our control. Fear is not ours, pessimism does not belong to us, defeat is not our choice.
