'Scatterbrain' singer-songwriter Emei is headed to Australia for the very first time.
The LA-based artist will headline concerts in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in September. "News is out! Australia here I come babes!"A viral, alt-pop star who created a cult following with her 2022 debut 'Late To The Party', Emei crafts angsty, witty, vulnerable and highly relatable songs about young adult life fans of Olivia Rodrigo and Laufey will enjoy.
A graduate of Yale University (cognitive science degree), Emei (who was born in New Jersey to Chinese immigrant parents) as teenager competed on 'Chinese Idol', placing third.
After releasing her debut album 'Scatterbrain' (featuring the title track as well as 'Irresponsible' and 'Cynical') last year, and with other hits including 'Better People To Leave On Read' and 'That Girl', in 2024 Emei has released the singles 'Love Me Not' and 'Watermelon Sugar'.
