Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

A new dance music festival arrives in Perth next month with a line-up of internationals who'll create the ultimate electric playground.

Set to drop the bass with house, drum & bass, techno and dance rhythms, Embrace Festival will take over Palm Lane in East Perth, headlined by Macky Gee, on 10 February.

The UK producer of bassline bombs like 'Tour', 'Aftershock' and 'Black Widow' will be joined by fellow UK artists like rising star Ruth Royall (who has collaborated with Freaks & Geeks and Pola & Bryson), 'Prada' hitmaker Cassö, Scottish producers Kimmic ('Never Miss A Beat'), Jake Carter's new moniker Sub Zero and T95 ('Set You Free' and 'On Site').

If that sounds like your thing, there's heaps more for your liking with Australian production duo Ekko & Sidetrack ('Paper Birds' and 'Synchronise') and Tom Santa ('Rainfall (Praise You)', 'We Don't Ever Stop') joining the line-up.

Blkout. is going B2B with Don Darkoe so bring your good dancing shoes. Ben Gerrans will be lighting up the house and techno stage with his euphoric soundscapes and local heroes Restricted and Odd Mob will get the party started.

Tickets are on sale (under 1,000 left).

Embrace Festival takes place at Palm Lane (Perth) 10 February.
