With their new studio album ready to drop the first half of July, Brisbane punk rockers DZ Deathrays will pack the tour van for a nine-date national run this September.
The trio of Shane Parsons, Simon Ridley and Lachlan Ewbank have also gifted fans the final single to be released ahead of the 'Positive Rising: Part 2' record landing.'Golden Retriever' features DZ's trademark distorted guitars and thrashing drums, but also offers a more tender side to the band with lyrics such as: 'I'm such a dreamer / Golden Retriever / hopeless and needy / I really gotta work this out.'
The song's music video will be a treat for dog lovers as well.
"This film clip was definitely one of the most fun shoots we've done thanks to all the dogs who were there," Simon enthuses.
"I'm really going to miss having six, super-happy golden retrievers running around out the back of film clip shoots." Awwww!
The band will visit Perth, Margaret River, Hobart, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Canberra, Newcastle and Wollongong.
"Here we go Australia! So keen to hit the road this September to play our new album! More shows TBA!"
Tickets are on sale. More information.
'Positive Rising: Part 2' is out 9 July. Pre-order it.
