Dylan Lewis Joins Double J As New Weekends Host

Dylan Lewis joins Double J as host of Weekends.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Whether its his earlier work on 'Recovery' or 'Video Hits', conquering 'Celebrity Big Brother' or his more recent role on NOVA, Dylan Lewis is an iconic voice-face of Australian music media.

From Saturday (18 July), Dylan will take over full-time as host of Double J Weekends (9am-12pm every Saturday and Sunday) coming full circle from his first foray into the industry.

No stranger to the Double J studios, he's recently been filling in for Tim Shiel on Arvos, as well as hosting Mornings over summer. "I bloody love Double J," beams Dylan. "It feels like Aunty designed it just for me!

"It plays the music I love, and the presenters are all passionate about the music in the way I am. I feel very lucky and proud to be a part of the Double J family again. I'm home.

"I started out 25 years ago at the ABC doing a music show on a Saturday morning – and now I'm back on the weekends doing it again. Pretty neat huh?!"

While one legend moves in, another is taking a break with The J Files and the Inside The Big Day Out podcast host, Gemma Pike set to welcome another music fan into the world and will return in 2021.

The new host of The J Files (8pm every Thursday) for the remainder of the year will be the Double J Weekends original host, Caz Tran. Caz has been part of the triple j family for almost 20 years, hosting Super Request, Home & Hosed, Lunch and Weekend Breakfast.
