Dr Dre's ground-breaking debut album 'The Chronic' has been released today across all digital service providers.

We wonder why today of all days, but are drawing blanks. Are you going to the fridge?

"Fans now have another reason to celebrate on what has become a national holiday, celebrating all things cannabis-related," Chris Taylor, eOne's Global President, Music & Live, says, "where legally allowed and in moderation of course.

"Working with the Death Row catalogue is like working with the legendary recordings of Elvis, Chuck Berry and The Beatles.

"These historic artefacts should be heard by all music lovers and we are so happy Dr. Dre has opened this door, so everyone can experience the brilliance of this seminal work."

Released 28 years ago (1992), 'The Chronic' redefined West Coast rap, while introducing the world to Snoop Dogg, Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, Nate Dogg, Warren G, Lady of Rage, D.O.C, RBX, and others.

Now pass the dutchie to the left, please.

As a tribute to 'The Chronic' being released digitally, Spotify have curated a new playlist: 'I Love My West Coast Classics', a set of the finest west coast hip hop.
