As Download Festival in Melbourne and Sydney fast approaches (headlined by Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, Judas Priest, Rise Against and Alice In Chains), event organisers have revealed they'll host a new stage in 2019.
Ascension Stage will house 'blistering acts that are on the rise to be the headliners of tomorrow'.
Those added include Western Sydney’s heavy-hitting Justice For The Damned (who came out of the gates swinging with their Greyscale Records debut 'Dragged Through The Dirt') and Australian metal slayers Aversions Crown (the Brisbane outfit bringing a potent mix of brutal death metal speed and violence with eldritch atmospherics).
These two will be joined by New Zealand natives Devilskin (their tactical, instrumental attack is balanced by the seductive Jennie Skulander), Novocastrian outfit Eat Your Heart Out (with their grungy pastiche of emo energy, punk power, and pop palatability) and Melbourne-based The Beautiful Monument (a locally brewed force to be reckoned with).
Download Festival takes place at Parramatta Park (Sydney) 9 March and Flemington Racecourse (Melbourne) 11 March. Click here for ticket information.
