For many a SE Queensland clubber in the late '90s, early 2000s, Gold Coast venue Berlin Bar was a right of passage, that place you let your inner child out to create havoc on the dance floor.
One of the purveyors of the magic was Don Nadi, who provided countless hours of epic sets as well as bringing the likes of Derrick May, Derrick Carter, Miguel Migs, Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Lee Burridge, Bob Sinclar, Dimiti From Paris, Cut Copy, PNAU and many more to the Berlin Bar stage."It was really a case of being at the right place at the right time. A lining up of the planets in a sense. You couldn't stage that kind of chemistry," Don says.
"I constantly keep getting asked for these CDs, so here they are finally uploaded for everyone to enjoy. These 2 CDs represent a 2-hour snapshot of what a night at Berlin Bar felt like.
"All that's missing is the smart, gutsy crowd that were there to party and up for whatever I could throw at them week after week."
