Aussie Britpop rockers DMA'S will have the honour of headlining the opening night of Adelaide's newest live music venue, when The Hindley Street Music Hall launches on 15 September.

A state-of-the-art establishment set in the heart of Adelaide's entertainment precinct, The Hindley Street Music Hall features an 1,800 capacity and has been in the works the past year as a collaborative project between Secret Sounds, Live Nation, and Five Four Entertainment.

Formerly the site of the HQ Complex nightclub, the $6 million project has seen the venue's interior and exterior transformed – both structurally and aesthetically – with more than 135 tonnes of concrete removed.

DMA'S (who just released their newest single 'I Don't Need To Hide' yesterday) will be joined at the launch party by South Australian punk-rock institution West Thebarton, electronic-R&B singer-songwriter Wafia and local indie rising star Jess Day.

"We are so proud to bring Hindley Street Music Hall, which we have worked incredibly hard to craft, to the thriving Adelaide entertainment scene," Paul Piticco, Co-Founder and Co-CEO Secret Sounds, says.

"It's also exciting to be joining and working with the burgeoning music and arts community here. Secret Sounds and Live Nation are dedicated to the city and state, and have launched three festivals, and now this amazing venue in the last few years.

"We look forward to bringing the best artists in the world to the Adelaide whilst creating a new platform for SA artist's to launch themselves from."
