Distortion Festival 2024 Line-up

NGHTMRE headlines the inaugural Distortion bass music festival.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Australia's newest bass music festival has arrived with Distortion Festival launching in four capital cities this summer.

Set to land in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth next February, Distortion Festival promises an event 'celebrating electronic, dubstep, trap, electro house and drum & bass genres'.

The event will feature international arrivals including American trap-dubstep-house producer NGHTMRE who returns to Australia for the first time in 5 years; the LA-based artist (known for 'FEELING GUD' and 'GUD VIBRATIONS' songs) last year released his debut record 'DRMVRSE' that featured collabs with Virtual Riot, Zeds Dead, SLANNDER, Oliver Tree and UPSAHL.

English dubstep, drum step, glitch hop producer (and NGHTMRE collaborator), Zomboy also join the Distortion line-up, his first Australian live dates since 2019. Known for his bangers 'Lone Wolf' and 'Nuclear (Hands Up)', Zomboy's first release of 2023 is the single 'Monsters' – a collab with Micah Martin.

"FINALLY RETURNING TO AUSTRALIA FEB 2024! Headlining Distortion Festival alongside my brother Zomboy!" shares NGHTMRE.

"This will be my first time back in over four years and I'm incredibly excited to return and play all my new music for you guys!"

Adds Zomboy: "AUSTRALIA I'M BACK! I'll be on the road playing four shows for Distortion Festival in February."

The remainder of the line-up features English drum n bass veteran Danny Byrd ('We Can Have It All' and 'Selecta') who released a new joint with Charlotte Plank titled 'Let U Know' in July, Dutch bass-house artist Moksi ('Slow Down', 'Gipsy') from Amsterdam's Barong Family, and local legends Slumberjack ('Fracture', 'Crucified', 'Solid') whose latest release is the Posij joint 'Scout'.

"Australia, so excited to be back next February 2024 with this too bass music line-up," Danny Byrd says.

Local talent, the emerging dubstep queen Godlands and drum & bass sensation sammythesinner round out the bill. "Sheeeeeesh. Lucky me, I'm on support for NGHTMRE and Zomboy next year for the Distortion tour," beams Godlands.

Tickets on sale from 11am (local time) on 14 November.
