American country singer-songwriter Brad Paisley ('Whiskey Lullaby' and 'She's Everything') will headline the 2022 Deni Ute Muster, which returns to the festival calendar next year after being cancelled the past two years due to COVID.
Staged on the outskirts of regional town Deniliquin since 1999, cowgirls and the blue singlet brigade will be packing their utes for yet another sensational weekend getaway (30 September to 1 October) filled to brim with live music as well as other festival staples: bullride spectacular, ute driving, wood chopping and whip cracking comps, tradie challenge and bogan bingo.Set to join Paisley will be Aussie pop superstar Jessica Mauboy, Australia's own country OG John Williamson, Queensland roots-rock champions Busby Marou, pub rock legends The Angels and two of the country's finest songwriters Ian Moss and Troy Cassar-Daley, who'll perform together as a duo.
"G'day folks, JW here. I can't wait to catch-up with you at the Deni Ute Muster," Williamson says.
Then there's the original Australian Idol Shannon Noll, husband-wife tandem Felicity Urquhart and Josh Cunningham, 21-time Golden Guitar winner Sara Storer, and Australia's hottest country producer Shane Nicholson who are also headed to the Muster in 2022.
"After two years of virtual events, 2022 will be a year of celebration," Deni Ute Muster General Manager, Vicky Lowry says.
"Returning with two days of music, around the ground festival entertainment for all ages and of course all the action of the utes in the sports arena.
"Come and be part of the Deni Ute Muster as it celebrates the uniqueness of country Australia, the iconic ute, an infectious passion for country music and camping under the stars on the flattest natural plains in the southern hemisphere."
Deni Ute Muster takes place in Deniliquin 30 September and 1 October.
