Australian pop darling Delta Goodrem will honour the legacy of her sophomore album, 'Mistaken Identity', with a very special, one-off concert in her home town Sydney.
An album that was written and recorded while Delta undertook chemotherapy after her Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer diagnosis, released in 2004 'Mistaken Identity' was Goodrem's second #1 record.Mistaken Identity: A Night Of Celebration will see Delta take command of Sydney Opera House for an emotionally-charged evening of live music and storytelling next April, with fans promised a performance that will 'relive the magic and strength of 'Mistaken Identity', blending vulnerability with resilience, celebrating life, and embracing the healing power of music'.
The album produced two #1 singles – 'Out Of The Blue' and 'Almost Here', the latter Goodrem's first ever duet (with Irish singer Brian McFadden) – while the title track, 'Be Strong' and 'Last Night On Earth' also became fan favourites as well as anthems for people battling cancer (and those experiencing loved ones with the disease).
"'Mistaken Identity' was a challenge and a triumph. . . a mark left on me that I honour and treasure and am reminded of to this day," Delta says. "Happy anniversary to all those who keep the album close to your hearts and resonate with those songs in ways that blow me away."
The concert will feature reimagined arrangements of 'Mistaken Identity' songs as well as exclusive stories behind the music for the ultimate fan's live experience with Delta.
Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 28 November.
