Deftones

Update - 4 December, 2025: With the Brisbane concert sold out, Deftones has added a second and final date in Brisbane. Scroll down for the details.

An early contender for the best headline-support-act double bill of 2026, American alt. metal legends Deftones return to Australia joined by Interpol.

After almost a decade away, the 'My Own Summer', 'Change', 'Sextape' hitmakers will headline concerts in Sydney (x2 shows), Brisbane and Melbourne (x2 shows) next May.

A career spanning almost four decades, Deftones remain one of the pillars of the heavy scene, a band who have inspired countless other musicians and amassed ten billion-plus streams of their back catalogue.

Earlier this year, the Sacramento group – which remains the original members Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter and Abe Cunningham, plus long-term keyboardist-turntablist Frank Delgado – released their tenth LP 'Private Music' that features 'My Mind Is A Mountain', 'Milk Of Madonna', 'Infinite Source' and 'I Think About You All The Time'.

They'll be joined by one of the instigators of New York's late '90s, early 2000s post-punk revivalist scene, Interpol ('Evil', 'Obstacle 1', 'Rest My Chemistry').

Their most recent studio album was 2022's 'The Other Side Of Make-Believe' that features 'Toni' and 'Fables'.

Rounding out the bill is Australian punk rock, alternative artist Ecca Vandal, who last week released a new single titled 'Molly'. "[I] haven't played a show at home for a long long time!

"Looking forward to come back to support Deftones in May. So cool, we just got to play with them recently at Dia De Los Deftones and we can do it all over again. This is gonna be a real special one (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ ) 🎀🏡."
