Politically-charged punk icons, Dead Kennedys return to Australia in 2025.
Their first tour down under in seven years, and fresh from an east-coast American tour, the US band will headline concerts in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Sydney this September.Renowned for their frantic raw energy onstage, Dead Kennedys' satirical lyrics and unfiltered sound continues to resonate, challenging the status quo of modern society.
Fans and newcomers alike can expect to hear all the hits including 'Holiday In Cambodia', 'California Über Alle', 'Police Truck', 'Too Drunk To F...', 'I Fought The Law' and 'Kill The Poor' as well as deeper dives. Given the current political landscape, no doubt they'll give us 'Nazi Punks F... Off' too.
Here's to hearing some of their lesser know gems like 'Let's Lynch The Landlord', 'Chemical Warfare', 'When Ya Get Drafted', 'Soup Is Good Food', 'M.T.V. Get Off The Air', 'Stars And Stripes Of Corruption', 'Chicken Conformist', 'Hop With The Jet Set' and 'I Spy'.
With a career spanning over four decades, the current line-up features original members East Bay Ray (guitar) and Klaus Flouride (bass), alongside vocalist Ron 'Skip' Greer, who has fronted the band since 2008, and drummer Steve Wilson, who joined following the passing of longtime drummer D.H. Peligro in 2022.
