To celebrate the 20th anniversary of his trailblazing album 'White Ladder', award-winning British singer-songwriter David Gray will tour Australia in December, playing the album in full.
David isn't just playing through the album, oh no; he is recreating it entirely by assembling not just the original band members, but also the original equipment to perform 'White Ladder' as well as a set of greatest hits.“It’s an album that came from nowhere to steal the hearts of millions all over the world, completely transforming my life in the process,” David says of 'White Ladder'.
“Twenty years on and it feels like 'White Ladder' is just as alive for people now as it was back then.
“So to celebrate this milestone, I will be releasing a special anniversary version of the album and assembling all the original band members with all the original equipment, in order to take 'White Ladder' out on the road and recreate the record in its entirety.”
Born of difficult circumstances, 'White Ladder' is the breakthrough album that took him from a struggling troubadour on the fringes of British music to a world-renowned folk singer-songwriter. It also remains in the top 30 best-selling British albums of all time.
