One of pop music's true innovators, David Byrne has announced an Australian tour this November that will visit Sydney, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Adelaide.
The creative force behind Talking Heads ('Once In A Lifetime', 'Road To Nowhere', 'Burning Down The House' and 'And She Was') as well as a slew of solo releases including 2018's 'American Utopia' (his first album in 14 years), David Byrne has also collaborated with Eno, St Vincent, Arcade Fire, Fatboy Slim, De La Soul and more.
The NYC artist has also won an Oscar, founded the Luaka Bop label, turned a ferry terminal into a musical instrument, designed bike racks, and published 2012 book 'How Music Works'. You know, the usual for a pop artist.
'Already the toast of Coachella, Byrne's new roadshow was a knockout' – David Fricke, Rolling Stone
Byrne's will be accompanied by a 12-piece band on stage for an Annie-B Parson choreographed concert that he has called "the most ambitious show I've done since the shows that were filmed for 'Stop Making Sense'".
Tickets go on sale on Monday 18 June. Click here for more details.
'Decades into his career, David Byrne remains an unpredictable, vital artist. There aren’t many who can say that.’ – LA Weekly
