After staging their 2021 event in February, the folks at Dashville Skyline are keeping the motor running as they return the festival to its usual calendar home of the Labour Day long weekend (30 Sep to 2 Oct).

And the 2022 line-up again features one of the legendary acts of Australian music, The Black Sorrows fronted by Joe Camilleri who were so taken by the event after headlining in February that they want to return to do it all again.

"We don't normally go back to back with acts, but when there's living legends wanting to come back, you just gotta do it," promoter Magpie Johnston admits.

Set to join The Black Sorrows will be Indigenous folk-roots songwriter Frank Yamma, Hunter Valley local and damm-fine rock-blues musician William Crighton, as well as The Pleasures which is the pairing of ARIA winning country music heavyweights Catherine Britt and Lachlan Bryan, and alternative country act Andy Golledge Band.

Dashville Skyline will also host a couple of international lodgers with Vancouver-based soul-Americana singer-songwriter Frazey Ford and American Kiwi trio Albi & The Wolves (who were Dashville favourites a few years back).

Other notable additions include Grace Cummings, Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys, Sue Ray, Magpie Diaries and Watty Thompson.

Dashville Skyline 2022 (Hunter Valley) runs 30 September until 2 October. Tickets are on sale.
