With the return of the Queensland Music Awards (QMAs) in March, the artists performing at this year's ceremony have been confirmed.
Alt-pop rebels Cub Sport, acoustic roots duo Busby Marou, southside rap group Order Sixty6 and pop femme fatale Jaguar Jonze have been selected to perform at the 2020 QMAs."I love the QMAs because they celebrate the diverse talent from throughout all of Queensland,” Cub Sport's Tim Nelson says. “It’s also exciting to discover new artists who will likely be the future of Queensland music.
“I remember hearing about Amy Shark when she won her first QMA; fast forward a couple of years and she’s winning ARIAs, selling out shows all around the world and casually hanging out with Nicole Kidman. Zo and I have a stripped-back performance planned for the night, which I’m really excited for."
Previously held at Brisbane Showgrounds, this year's QMAs are being held for the first time at The Fortitude Music Hall.
"The 2020 Queensland Music Awards are shaping up to be the most exciting Awards that QMusic has presented finding their new home in the beautiful Fortitude Music Hall”, QMAs Executive Producer Angela Samut says.
"The QMAs ceremony will feature incredible Queensland talent, which is a reflection of the consistently high quality of artists coming through the ranks in our state."
More acts as well as the 2020 class of finalist will be announced soon, along with a new award category for Emerging Artist Of The Year.
Queensland Music Awards takes place at The Fortitude Music Hall (Brisbane) 3 March.
