Crowded House are going back to the future, with a new series of Australian concerts dubbed 'a rare and intimate tour' in late 2025.
After a run of sold-out headline shows last year celebrating the release of 'Gravity Stairs' (their eighth studio album, and only second record since 2010), and set to play Red Hot Summer Tour across the country (with almost half the events sold out), Crowded House have added a seven-date east-coast run this October-November to those performances.The 'Don't Dream It's Over' and 'Weather With You' sonic masters will play smaller rooms as part of the Pop Up Shows tour that will visit Cairns, Townsville, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Byron Bay and Hobart.
With the band now featuring Neil Finn's two sons, Liam and Elroy, alongside founding member Nick Seymour and longtime session player, turned full-time member (in 2020) Mitchell Froom, these concerts offer diehard fans the opportunity to get up close and cozy with the band.
By trading arenas for small, atmospheric venues across the country, the band will bring their timeless catalogue to life. This is Crowded House as you've never seen them – up close, personal, and unforgettable.
The ARIA Hall of Fame legends are also working on a Crowded House documentary, recently asking online for anyone with footage or audio of the original band to make themselves known.
"Are you a longtime fan or journalist with rare footage or audio of Crowded House and its original members: Neil Finn, Paul Hester, and Nick Seymour? Maybe you captured a backstage moment, an interesting audio or video interview, or candid footage over the years? If so, we'd love to hear from you," the band posted.
"We're working on a definitive documentary about the band past and future, and are searching for unique, unseen journalist- or fan-recorded material – the kind of audio footage that shows a different side of Crowded House and the musicians that played with them over the years.
"We're especially keen to find old audio and footage from interviews, film rushes and outtakes, behind-the-scenes clips, and unaired gems. We are also interested in concert footage prior to 1997."
