Back for its third instalment, the 2023 Cronulla Jazz & Blues Festival offers more than 100 free and ticketed performances and events across four days (1-4 June), that also features a record fair, film festival and a stack of food-craft stalls.
A staple of the Australian blues scene (who brought his Stax Of Blues show to Bluesfest this year), Ray Beadle returns to play Cronulla Jazz & Blues Festival once again alongside legendary Aussie pop-rock singer-songwriter Alex Lloyd ('Amazing') and seminal ska Aussie pioneers The Allniters ('Montego Bay')."I'm back for another year at the Cronulla Jazz & Blues Festival – great line-up," shares Ray.
Adds The Allniters: "Very excited to announce we will be headlining at the Jazz & Blues festival Saturday 3rd June."
Then there's Sydney blues OGs The Foreday Riders who've been playing the blues since forming in 1967 as well as another doyen of the Sydney scene, reggae masters King Tide plus jazz-pop vocalist Gregg Arthur.
Other line-up highlights include Lloyd Spiegel, Frank Sultana, Martin Cilia Plays The Atlantics & Surf Guitar Classics, Shane Pacey Trio, Tall Shaun & The Resolution Blues, The Sun Bears and Steve Edmonds Band Plays Hendrix.
"I'm totally thrilled to see how the festival has evolved and developed over the past three years," Creative Director Geoff Trio says.
"This year we will be presenting around 90 truly incredible performers across a wide variety of stages – and the majority of these shows are free.
"This year we have some big big names who will undoubtedly deliver some amazing performances. But one of the really cool things about an event like the Cronulla Jazz & Blues festival is simply coming along and wandering around and sampling a huge array of music and discovering new talent.
"I'll be amazed if people don't come away as new fans of a whole array of artists they may not have heard of before. That's one of many reasons why this is such a terrific event."
