Cronulla Jazz & Blues Festival 2021 Line-up

Jade MacRae

Across three days and twelve stages, the 2021 Cronulla Jazz & Blues Festival (4-6 June) will feature 100-plus free performances alongside a selection of ticketed events.

While the winter chill is in full effect, Sydney's Cronulla will heat up as the streets come alive to the sounds of jazz, blues and roots lead by the likes of Ray Beadle, Jade MacRae, Mahalia Barnes, Dog Trumpet, The Foreday Riders, Dom Turner's Rural Blues Project, Tracy McNeil, Katie Brianna, Frank Sultana and much more (scroll down for the artist line-up).

"Wow! Cronulla Jazz & Blues Festival! Long time coming," beams Ray Beadle. "I can't wait to perform at the various venues and see a heap of great acts. May this be the first of many great years ahead of Jazz & Blues in the Shire."

Alongside market stalls and kerb-side retails, there'll also be free film screenings nightly (including the new 'Zappa' and 'The United States vs. Billie Holiday' films) and a record fair.

"As COVID-19 releases its grip on the throat of live music, The Foreday Riders are extremely pleased to be part of the tremendous bill, featuring some of the country's finest acts," the legendary blues act says.

"We are happy to announce that for this event, Mr Steve Edmonds will be fronting the band, a first for us and not to be missed. Just a tad excited."

From street buskers and weekend stage performances in Dunningham and Monro Parks, through to ticketed shows in Cronulla's prime venues The Brass Monkey and El Sol, Cronulla Jazz & Blues Festival programmer Geoff Trio says: "We are very excited to be back with a festival of this kind, helping the community and showcasing some amazing Australian talent that is world class."

Four-times Golden Guitar country singer-songwriter, Amber Lawrence will also perform her 'Kids Gone Country' show as part of an extended kids programme.

2021 Cronulla Jazz and Blues Festival takes places throughout Cronulla (Sydney) 4-6 June. More information about ticketed shows.
