Scottish expat, Colin Lillie has released the final taste of his forthcoming album with current single 'Castaway'.
Heavy on the brass, with an upbeat attitude its rock & roll swagger will entice you into the centre of its driving rhythm. Let your hips do the talkin'."'Castaway is a song that reflects on how I have felt at times living, working and observing life in the Red Centre of Australia," Colin says, who has made his Australian home in Alice Springs.
"Coming from one of Australia's most remote creative communities, it's always been more challenging to share my art with a wider audience," adds Colin, "and with living in the Red Centre you get a sense of being on a desert island cast away from everyone else.
"If there is one thing I have learnt from living in this arid land is that with the vast space that surrounds me I have had to look within to grow which has brought self-doubt but much more self-belief."
'Shades Of Love' is the title of Lillie's second studio album that's due this Friday (30 July), following his debut record 2016's 'Glass Homes'.
"Colin is a deeply individual artist and 'Shades Of Love' is a wonderful reflection of that," offers fellow musician Karl S. Williams. "A fascinating melange of influences, bold and unapologetic. I am excited for these songs to reach the ears of those in need of them."
Colin will embark (lockdowns permitting) on an eight-date tour commencing late next month that will visit Adelaide, Alice Springs, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Darwin, Newcastle, Canberra, and finish in Sydney in late October.
